Memorial Garden – First Presbyterian Church

About This Project

As focal point for the First Presbyterian Church’s new Myrtle Beach Grissom Campus expansion, the memorial garden strives to inspire reverence for this life and for the life to come.

Sited on a strong central axis and located behind Wilkes Hall, the memorial garden is designed to serve the church membership and families with a variety of outdoor spaces including: the formal lawn for picnics and ice cream socials, lighted central fountains, columbarium niches with radius seat walls, a scatter garden with serpentine seat wall, memorial walls, site lighting, and colorful, uplifting vegetation within the garden.
